ArrivedOK flight arrival tracker gets localized for Japanese, Russian markets

WWW.ARRIVEDOK.MOBI flight tracker and arrival messenger selected as an Official Honoree in The 13th Annual Webby Awards, gets localized for Japanese and Russian markets, available for the rest of the world now.

Austin, TX – 20 April 2009 — ArrivedOK, the personal flight arrival tracker and arrival messenger is now available in Japanese and Russian languages and open for beta testing in most countries of the world. The service lets air passengers automatically notify others about their arrival to airports worldwide by email, SMS, via blogs or Twitter, and enables travelers to save on international roaming charges.
logo_arrivedok_full_jp_01
Developed by Eyeline Communications Inc., ArrivedOK lets travelers enter flight information and recipient emails or phone numbers before take-off. When you reach your destination and turn on your cell phone, the service locates your cell phone in the local mobile network and automatically sends out a brief arrival message to the recipients in your list.

Along with the convenience of being able to alert at once different people with different messages, the application allows users bypassing the heavy international roaming charges for voice, text and mobile email services while traveling abroad.

The unique feature of ArrivedOK is that it notifies about one’s personal arrival instead of flight status in general. “Unlike other flight tracking services, which are based on general flight data from dispatcher centers, ArrivedOK tracks one’s actual appearance in the destination airport, so one’s friends and colleagues are 100 percent sure the person is landed okay.” – says Andrey Deriabin, Director Business Development at Eyeline Communications.

ArrivedOK has been selected as an Official Honoree in The 13th Annual Webby Awards in two categories: Best Use of GPS or Location Technology and Experimental & Innovation. ArrivedOK is currently translated into Japanese, French and Russian languages and available as free Public Beta in most countries of the world.

Developed by Eyeline Communications Inc., ArrivedOK lets air travelers automatically alert others about their arrival at their destinations. Schedule your flight at www.arrivedok.mobi with the destination airport, expected arrival time, your recipient phone numbers or emails. ArrivedOK tracks your cell phone in the mobile network when you turn it on after the landing. Then it instantly sends ‘Arrived OK’ messages to the list of your recipients.

The unique feature of ArrivedOK is that it alerts about one’s personal arrival instead of flight status in general. “Unlike other flight services, which are based on general flight data from dispatcher centers, ArrivedOK rely on particular subscriber’s mobile phone status. It tracks one’s actual appearance in the destination airport, so one’s friends and family are 100 percent sure the person is landed okay.” – says Andrey Deriabin, Director Business Development at Eyeline Communications.

Based on patent-pending technology, ArrivedOK works by detecting its subscriber’s mobile phone when it is registered in a local GSM network. ArrivedOK allows sending personalized arrival alerts to different groups of recipients, and enables subscribers to save on international roaming charges when traveling abroad.

The service is designed to be both fun and useful,” says Andrey Deriabin. “Air travelers usually spend remarkable amount of money when texting or making phone calls in roaming just to let someone know they landed fine. PRIVET Roaming Expanded to Spain

In the beginning of 2009 Russian mobile operator velcom (velcom and PRIVET trade marks) expanded roaming options for PRIVET subscribers.
Source: http://www.interfax.by/, 12 January 2009

“Starting January, 2009 PRIVET subscribers can use International Roaming service in Spanish mobile network TELEFONICA MOVILES ESPANA”, – announced one of velcom representatives.

“User subscribes to the service independently via his mobile, only in velcom network, using USSD command *126# (direct request – *126*6# and call button)”, – explained the company’s representative.
At present the number of company’s partners, with whom the company established roaming for PRIVET subscribers, is 34 mobile operators in 25 countries.

ArrivedOK.mobi Flight Tracker Starts Beta Testing

Based on Eyeline’s patent-pending technology, ArrivedOK.mobi goes far beyond existing mobile text flight alert services by providing its subscribers with unique flight tracking and messaging features.

www.ArrivedOK.mobi works by detecting its subscriber’s mobile phone in a destination GSM network when the user switches it on upon arrival. The service allows users to notify others about his or her safe landing by SMS or email. When the passenger’s cell phone is tracked in the destination airport, ArrivedOK instantly sends text or email messages to the list of recipients the subscriber created online.

As ArrivedOK rely on particular subscriber’s mobile phone status instead of general flight data from?dispatcher centers,?it provides accurate information about one’s arrival.

“It really is a Personal Arrival Tracker,” says Andrey Deriabin, Director Business Development at Eyeline Communications. “Unlike other flight trackers and alert services that only provide information about changes in scheduled arrival time, ArrivedOK traces an individual’s actual appearance in the destination point, so one’s friends and family are 100 percent sure the person is landed okay.”

ArrivedOK operation is not technically restricted to particular airlines, or mobile networks. It allows simultaneous sending of customized arrival alerts to different groups of recipients, and enables subscribers to save on international roaming charges when traveling abroad.

“The service is designed to be both fun and useful,” says Andrey Deriabin. “Air travelers usually spend remarkable amount of money when texting or making phone calls in roaming just to let somebody know they landed fine. With ArrivedOK those people who care about their spendings can make it for less.”

Eyeline Communications Adds Extra Features To Peer-to-Peer SMS Services

Eyeline Communications Inc., a global Service Operator providing carrier-grade B2B and VAS infrastructure solutions, deployed its Eyeline SMS Extra platform in the network of Mobile TeleSystems (NYSE:MBT), the largest mobile phone operator in Russia and the CIS.

The platform enables more than 52 mln subscribers of MTS in Russia to use the familiar text features in new ways and helps the operator to increase its profits from non-voice services.

The feature SMS Secret allows a subscriber to send text messages which can be read by the recipient only after unlocking them with an individual password. SMS Group supports ‘messaging lists’ enabling subscriber to create a social network or simply send messages to a large number of recipients at once. SMS Express messages are automatically unfold on the recipient’s screen and are not stored in the phone. SMS Calendar enables subscribers to defer the delivery of their SMS until particular time.

The platform is easily integrated into any GSM network, providing multi-language support and transliteration for terminals, and the management of subscribers settings via SMS or USSD.

The functionalities of Eyeline SMS Extra are not limited to those that just became available to MTS subscribers. For instance, SMS Nick can be used to substitute sender’s phone number in the messages “From” field with an arbitrary alias. As a result, the recipients will see, for example, the sender’s nickname or blog title instead of her mobile number.

Sponsored SMS will be interesting to the companies that want to use the mobile medium for marketing activities. The service enables subscribers to send peer-to-peer SMS for free or at discounted rate. They, in turn, agree to receive advertisements via SMS, flash SMS, USSD, WAP-push and/or Cell Broadcast. The service allows flexible routing of the advertisements by geographical region, medium, time, etc.
