Overview
Missed Calls Alert Service is a software and hardware system which informs subscribers about missed calls when the mobile user was unavailable to take the call (no signal, phone is turned off, on the phone, etc.).
Missed Calls Alert system is designed for GSM networks. The Service increases average revenue per user by 1 percent and improves quality of service for subscribers.
- Notification of subscribers who could not take calls. When a phone call cannot be completed, it is transferred to the Service number. Missed Calls Alert generates a short message with parameters of the missed call which is then transferred to the operator’s short messaging service (SMS) center for delivery to the absent subscriber.
When a subscriber becomes available, he or she receives SMS messages containing information about missed calls (date, time, caller’s name or phone number, number of missed calls).
Calls made by different callers, depending on the Service settings, can be bundled in one SMS message or come as separate messages each containing information about one caller. - Notification of subscribers who could not place calls. Missed Calls Alert Service can send notifications informing that a subscriber, who was unavailable earlier, has appeared in the mobile network. As soon as the subscriber is available, the system sends an SMS message to those who called.
Missed Calls Alert can be turned on by subscriber by using phone settings – by directing call forwarding to the Service number – or by using a special USSD1 command (for example, *111*1#) as well as SMS message.
